What information is needed for a Singapore bunker quotation?

A Singapore bunker quotation needs the vessel name and IMO number, vessel type, ETA in Singapore time, delivery window, bunkering location, fuel grade, specification edition and quantity in metric tons. With those details a physical supplier can check barge availability and price the stem.

Why each detail matters

  • Vessel name and IMO number identify the ship for the supplier, the agent and port clearance, and are printed on the bunker delivery note.
  • ETA and delivery window decide which bunker tankers can be scheduled. A wider window usually means more supplier options.
  • Location (anchorage, terminal or berth) affects barging logistics and any delivery charges.
  • Grade and specification must match what the vessel can burn and what the charter party requires, for example ISO 8217:2017 or ISO 8217:2024, and RMG 380 or RMK 380.
  • Quantity is stated in metric tons. Tell us if you need a tolerance, for example ±5%.

Several grades can be included in one enquiry. Use the additional grade field, and add any further grades in special instructions. If you are not sure which specification applies, choose “Not sure” and we will check with you before going to market.

Bunker quotation FAQs

How quickly will I receive a quotation?

That depends on the grade, quantity, delivery date and how many suppliers need to be checked. Conventional grades for vessels arriving within normal lead times can usually be priced faster than alternative fuels or unusual quantities. We do not promise a fixed response time; urgent enquiries are flagged and handled first.

Is the quoted price fixed?

Offers in Singapore are normally valid for a limited period and subject to availability at the time of confirmation. The validity and terms are stated on each written offer. Prices are only fixed once you confirm in writing and the stem is nominated.

Can I request more than one fuel grade?

Yes. Add a second grade and quantity in the form, and list any further grades in the special instructions field. A combined stem, for example VLSFO with LSMGO, is common and is often delivered by the same supplier.

Do I have to commit when I submit the form?

No. Submitting the form is a request for offers. There is no obligation until you accept a written offer.
