How it works
Urgent bunker supply in Singapore is coordinated by checking which MPA-licensed physical suppliers can schedule a bunker tanker for the vessel’s ETA, grade and quantity, confirming an offer quickly in writing, and nominating the stem so the supplier, agent and vessel are aligned before arrival.
Short-notice requirements come from many directions: a revised voyage order, a change of charterer, a fuel quality concern that means a vessel needs fresh bunkers, an off-hire coming to an end, or simply an operator who has been chasing other priorities. The commercial steps are the same as a normal stem. What changes is the time available for each one.
Singapore has a large licensed bunker tanker fleet, but every barge has a schedule. At short notice the realistic options depend on the grade (VLSFO and MGO are more widely available than niche grades or biofuel blends), the quantity, the delivery location, the time of day, weather and port congestion, and the buyer’s credit position with the supplier. We tell you honestly what is achievable. We will not promise a delivery time that no supplier has confirmed.
Include the anchorage or berth if known, the latest time the vessel can take bunkers, the specification edition (for example ISO 8217:2017 or ISO 8217:2024), the agent’s name, and whether you need a bunker surveyor on board. The more complete the first message, the fewer calls before a supplier can commit.

Bunker traders and brokers like SingaporeBunker.com coordinate urgent enquiries by checking availability with MPA-licensed physical suppliers and confirming an offer quickly. The delivery itself is always made by a licensed bunker supplier and bunker craft operator.
No one can honestly guarantee a delivery time before a supplier has confirmed a barge slot. We check what is available for your ETA and quantity and tell you clearly what can be done. Once a supplier confirms, the delivery window is written into the offer.
It can be. Short notice reduces the number of suppliers who can schedule a barge, and some suppliers apply charges for very short lead times or out-of-hours delivery. Any such charges are shown in the written offer before you confirm.
Tell us immediately. Bunker tankers are scheduled around the agreed window, so an early or late arrival may need re-scheduling, and waiting time or cancellation charges may apply under the supplier terms.
